The Office of the Provost is charged with overseeing the academic operations of the campus. Guided by the goals set out in Vol Vision 2020 and our commitment to transforming the lives of our students in a welcoming and inclusive academic community, we work to foster excellence in scholarship and creative activity, teaching and learning, and outreach and engagement. To achieve our goals, we collaborate closely with the office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Engagement and the Vice Chancellor for Student Life to create a campus culture based on the principles of free inquiry, bold creativity, social responsibility, and personal growth. We strive to embody the Volunteer Spirit—the mission, vision, and values of our great university—in all we do.
